Centralized Pension Payment System and Pensioner Self-Verification System:

The payment of monthly Pension to the Pensioners have been automated for all Treasuries and Sub-Treasuries in the state. The Pensioners need not come to the Treasury to submit their pension bills every month but the payment is processed centrally and the amount is credited directly to bank account of the pensioner. The State Government has adopted biometric system as an alternative automated method of verifying the identity of a living pensioner. Pensioner can do self verification through Kiosk Machine which has been installed in various treasuries and sub-treasuries and a number of banks. Plans have been drawn up to install the KIOSK in more Banks and other important public offices like Offices of the Deputy Commissioner etc.
